M-net critical of regulator's vectoring technology decision

Friday 27 November 2015 | 21:05 CET | News
German regional network operator M-net has criticised the decision by the Federal Network Agency (BnA) to approve Deutsche Telekom's controversial VDSL plans, onlinekosten.de reports. Joerg Schoof, Head of Corporate Affairs for M-net, said that the regulator's strategy of relying on the ageing copper network to help achieve its target of providing superfast broadband nationwide was flawed. He insisted that the copper network has limited scope for future development and said the regulator failed to take into account the benefits of FTTB roll-out when approving the use of vectoring technology.
