M-net's Essenbach broadband grid reaches halfway mark

German regional operator M-Net is has now connected its 1,350th home in the market town of Essenbach in the Landshut district of Bavaria to its fibre optic network, meaning half of homes there now have access to the internet at up to 100 Mbps. M-net said the project, which is in conjunction with the municipal works, is running to schedule. Investment in the broadband network is in the lower double-digit million euro region.
