M-Snap, Cellum launch m-payments joint venture in India

European mobile wallet services provider Cellum has partnered with Indian mobile commerce firm M-Snap to launch a joint venture offering mobile transaction services in India. Dubbed 'PaySnap', the service will provide merchants and end-users with an open and interoperable platform delivering transaction services across payment channels. PaySnap will also support various funding sources, including India's national payment system UPI, as well as credit and debit cards.
