M1 ups profit over 6% as revenues flat in Q1

Singaporean mobile operator M1 said preliminary service revenues for its first quarter lifted 0.2 percent from the year before to SGD 204.4 million, with continued growth in mobile and fixed services offsetting the decline in international call services revenue. Non-voice revenue rose 6.9 percentage points year-on-year to 52.0 percent of service revenue. The net profit after tax increased 6.6 percent to SGD 45.7 million. During the quarter, M1 added 8,000 postpaid customers and 10,000 prepaid customers, bringing the total mobile customer base to 1.87 million at end March. Monthly postpaid
