Macau mobile, internet users fall in June

The mobile telephony base in Macau dropped to 1.79 million in June, down from 1.96 million the previous month, according to the Bureau of Telecommunication Regulation. Of the total, 961,244 were users of prepaid LTE services, 777,457 were on postpaid LTE, 36,204 people were using postpaid 3G, and 20,848 were on prepaid 3G. 

The total number of fixed service lines also continued to fall, from 112,166 to 111,345, of which 56,441 were residential customers. Internet users dropped for the first time, from 201,820 to 200,972, of which 177,895 were on fibre and 22,960 used ADSL access. There were 2,610 access points for commercial Wi-Fi services, 183 hotspots for the WiFi Go service and 430 for the FreeWiFi.Mo service.
