Madrid Metro to install 2,200 free charging points by 2018

Madrid's underground rail service, Metro de Madrid, has announced plans to install a total of 2,200 free USB charging points throughout the network by spring 2018. The publicly-owned company said the CE-certified points will be located on platforms at virtually all stations and feature fast-charging technology for powering up smartphones and tablets.
