Magyar Telekom inks deal for G&D NFC Sim cards

Hungarian operator Magyar Telekom has started providing new transaction services, such as ticketing and payment, using a Sim card, after inking a deal with Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) for its NFC Sim cards. The cards will available exclusively to Magyar Telekom mobile customers, who will be able to use the secure, contactless MasterCard PayPass payment application, to carry out financial transactions at the Hungarian partner bank OTP, use the SuperShop loyalty card or order tickets for cultural or sporting occasions in the country via InterTicket. The cards feature a CIPURSE applet for future
