Maher named new Digicel Barbados CEO

Digicel Barbados has announced the appointment of Yaser Maher as its new CEO, taking over from Alex Tasker, who was named executive chairman of the operator last October. Maher was previously chairman and CEO of Digicel Vanuatu in the Pacific as well as of Veon-owned operator Beeline in Laos. He has also held senior positions with Vodafone in Egypt and Italy, Etisalat in Saudi Arabia and Orascom Telecom Holding.
