MainOne integrates to IXPN as an IPV6 peer

MainOne has successfully integrated to the new Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), on the network of the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN), reports The Guardian. MainOne is the largest network in Nigeria to connect to IXPN via IPv6. According to the Head of Managed Services and IP at MainOne, Chidinma Iwe, the integration to IPv6 addresses on the network aims to create more robust and inexhaustible wholesale internet connectivity and avert problems from the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses.
