Majority of Germans know wearables, only 3% own any

The awareness of wearables such as smartwatches, fitness trackers or connected eyewear increased by 4 percentage points between April and July in Germany to 52 percent of smartphone users in Germany, while 3 percent actually actual used such devices, according to the "Smartphone Mobile Internet eXperience (SMIX)" study conducted by YouGov. Some 15 percent of smartphone users would consider using wearables in the next 12 months compared to 38 percent who are not interested.
