Majority of Germans prefer contactless payments as a result of Covid-19 crisis - survey

Three-quarters (75%) percent of Germans are currently trying to avoid cash payments, with 71 percent saying they would like more options to make contactless payments, according to a survey conducted by digital association Bitkom in April. Consumers are avoiding the use of notes or coins as a result of the coronavirus crisis, according to the association.
