Majority of Germans surf at 12 to 16 Mbps

About 43 percent of German internet users browse the internet at 16 Mbps or less, and 23 percent at 12 to 16 Mbps, according to the recent study 'The media consumption of the future' by Goldmedia on behalf of German cable network operator association Anga, cited by dslweb.de. The study shows that the majority of internet users are connected to the internet via DSL with a maximum speed rate of 16 Mbps. One in seven respondents has access to a connection faster than 16 Mbps.
