Malaysia starts tender for VHF communication system

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has launched a request for quotation for a VHF rapid deployment communication system. Interested parties may submit their bids by 27 October. The Raid Deployment Unit VHF Emergency Radio Communication system will use the 150.500 MHz and 150.850 MHz (transmit), and 140.500 MHz and 140.850 MHz (receive) frequencies. The system will be deployed across Malaysia for use during disaster, search and rescue operation and major events.
