Mali offers free .ml TLD registrations worldwide

Wednesday 17 July 2013 | 21:10 CET | News
Malian internet registry Agetic announced at the 14-18 July Icann meeting in Durban, South Africa, that it will offer .ml domain names free of charge to people and businesses worldwide, Agence Ecofin reports. Agetic has opened a website for free registration. The first person to register for a free .ml top-level domain (TLD) name was the minister of posts and new communications, at Bamako on 11 July. The government hopes that this initiative will stimulate Malians to use ICT and will increase awareness of the country abroad.
