Monday 12 April 2021 | 13:30 CET | News
The share of internet users in Malta reached 83 percent of the population in 2020, up 2 percent points from the previous survey in 2016 by Malta's telecom authority MCA. According to the study, 82 percent of internet users access the internet on their smartphones while 74 percent do so on a laptop or PC. This is a significant change from a few years back, when just 59 percent of internet users carried out internet-related activities on their smartphones.
