Marvell introduces 802.11ac Wave-2 products

Marvell introduced its 4x4 802.11ac Wave-2 Wi-Fi and system-on-chip solution, the AP3200 Reference Platform, at CES in Las Vegas. This combines the company's Armada and Avastar product lines to deliver a platform for enterprise and home gateways and access points running 802.11ac Wave-2, the new wireless networking standard. The platform integrates dual concurrent 802.11 radios and MU-MIMO. Marvell also announced at CES what it claims is the industry's first 802.11ac Wave-2 4x4 processor, the Avastar 88W8964, featuring 160 MHz bandwidth and MU-MIMO support. The processor supports 2.6 Gbps
