Match to acquire Hyperconnect for USD 1.7 billion

Match Group has agreed to acquire South Korea-based Hyperconnect for USD 1.725 billion in cash and stock. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, pending customary regulatory approvals. Hyperconnect is a social discovery and video technology company that operates two flagship apps, namely Azar and Hakuna Live.
