Mauritania extends deadline in tender process for 4th mobile licence

Wednesday 21 November 2018 | 15:22 CET | News
Mauritania's telecom regulator ARE issued a statement announcing that applications in the bidding process for the country's fourth mobile licence must now be submitted by 9 January 2019, extending the previous deadline of 05 December. Launched in early October, the selection process aims to choose a fourth market entrant licensed to provide 2G, 3G and LTE services. The tender will also award up to three LTE licences, reserved for the country's existing mobile network operators, Mauritel, Mattel and Chinguitel.
