Maxis grows retail service revenue in Q1 on postpaid, fibre expansion, EBITDA down 3.5%

Friday 1 May 2020 | 10:08 CET | News
Malaysian operator Maxis reported retail service revenue up 2.8 percent to MYR 1.876 billion in the first quarter, thanks to strong growth in postpaid and the fibre business, offset by a decline in prepaid and cuts to termination rates. Adjusted EBITDA fell 3.5 percent to MYR 953 million, hurt by lower wholesale business and an increase in provisions for bad debt as the Covid-19 pandemic hits the economy.
