Maxis opens concept store in The Gardens Mid Valley

Thursday 16 May 2019 | 07:48 CET | News
Malaysian operator Maxis has officially unveiled its concept store at The Gardens Mid Valley. The store includes digital screens, and customer service counter that resembles a café with baristas, personal demos, robots and app-enabled self-services. Visitors to the new Maxis concept store will have access to an Interactive Retail Assistant, and a discovery app for all demo devices.

The Maxis Interactive Retail Assistant (M.I.R.A.) is a web app designed to provide customers with info related to Maxis promos, customised offers and more. Customers need to scan a QR code on a digital screen to access the Interactive Retail Assistant.

The discovery app for all demo devices allows customers to compare devices, pricing, plans and accessories through voice-activated giant screens.

The Maxis store at The Gardens Mid Valley also includes a combined giant LED screen and 11 units of 98” screens. The voice-recognition screens allow Maxis personnel to compare different devices available in the store.

The retail analytics tool is designed to enable Maxis to better understand customers for more personalised engagement, including customer demographics and sentiment, customers’ time in-store, customer journey and zonal engagement. The MPOS (Mobile Point-of-Sale) and wireless biometrics service will allow Maxis personnel to serve customers anywhere in the store.

Maxis also reports it will collaborate with other brands to launch tailor-made events and activities. This month, the store will feature a gaming zone by Razer, enabling customers to participate in mobile gaming competitions and win prizes.
