Maxlinear intros demodulator for cord-cutter STBs, streaming media devices

Friday 15 September 2017 | 15:15 CET | News
MaxLinear has introduced a product aimed at adding over-the-air (OTA) television reception to OTT 'cord-cutter' set-top boxes (STB) and streaming media devices. The new MxL69x is a family of single-channel integrated ATSC tuner-demodulator ICs. Maxlinear said the cord-cutting trend means more homes will be installing: these will be able to benefit from the MxL69x, which can add over-the-air programming to an OTT system.
