MaxLinear lifts revenue guidance after closing buy of Intel's connected home unit

MaxLinear has completed the acquisition of Intel's connected home business, its Home Gateway Platform Division, in an cash, asset transaction worth USD 150 million. Maxlinear said it funded the deal with a USD 175 million term loan facility. With the close, Maxlinear says it now expects the acquisition to add USD 80-90 million to its quarterly revenues from the first full quarter post completion. This is up from its original forecast of USD 61.75-62.25 million. The deal is also expected to add to MaxLinear's adjusted earnings.
