MaxLinear unveils 5Gbps, 16K QAM-based microwave modem SoC

MaxLinear announced at MWC the MxL85670 baseband 5Gbps, 16K QAM-based system on-chip (SoC) for wireless microwave transmission systems. The MxL85670 SoC features 4 x 4 close-loop multiple input, multiple output (MIMO); cross polarisation interference cancellation (XPIC); future-proof 224MHz-channel bandwidth; support for 16,384 QAM modulation, as well as payloads of up to 5Gbps.
