MaxLinear announced the MxL3705, a fully integrated Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) 2.0 system product that exceeds gigabit-per-second data rates. The MxL3705 is described as the only MoCA device on the market that eliminates today's in-home broadband distribution bottleneck of sub-gigabit-per-second data speeds. MaxLinear's MxL3705 is the culmination of eight generations of MoCA technology and the field-experience gained from 120 million chips in cumulative shipments.
