MCX m-payments network adds 5 members

Mobile payments network Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX) has added retailers Gap and Bed Bath & Beyond, Dunkin' Brands Group, Dillards and convenience store operator Sheetz to its members list. Back in August, a group of retailers that includes Wal-Mart, Target and 7-Eleven have partnered to develop the Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX) mobile payment system which allows consumers to pay for purchases directly from their mobile devices. The Merchant Customer Exchange is designed to enable merchants such as retailers, gas stations and restaurants to integrate their promotions into the payments
