Monday 15 June 2015 | 11:06 CET | News
The Middle East and Africa (MEA) PC market suffered a year-on-year decline of 9.6 percent in the first quarter of 2015, with shipments to the region totalling 4.3 million units, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). It attributed the market's poor performance to currency fluctuations in a number of the region's key markets, as well as to the instability in global oil prices. Portable PC shipments declined 9.4 percent to 2.7 million unit and desktop shipments fell 10.0 percent to 1.6 million units.
