MEA PC shipments keep falling as mobility trend continues

The Middle East and Africa market for personal computers, including Turkey, is forecast to end seven consecutive quarters of year-on-year declines by posting growth of 3.2 percent year-on-year for the second quarter, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). In the first quarter, overall PC shipments were down 8.3 percent year on year at 4.8 million units. IDC's forecast for growth in the second quarter will see PC shipments to the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey reach 4.5 million units, which is up from 4.4 million in the same quarter last year.
