MEA spending on IoT set to reach USD 6.6 bln in 2016 - IDC

Governments and businesses in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) will invest more than USD 6.6 billion in Internet of Things (IoT) hardware, software, services and connectivity in 2016, according to market research and consultancy firm International Data Corporation (IDC). It expects IoT revenues in the region to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.3 percent over the next four years to more than USD 14.3 billion in 2020.
