Media Broadcast awarded Berlin DVB-T2 contract

Wednesday 12 July 2017 | 10:41 CET | News
The Media Council of the Berlin-Brandenburg region has awarded a contract to Media Broadcast to operate the DVB-T2 multiplex for seven years. The contract includes requirements to ensure non-discriminatory access to the platform, especially for local programming. The council may review this during the contract. The new contract means an expansion of the available programming with up to eight additional channels. The new multiplex should launch in November, coinciding with the region's migration from DVB-T to DVB-T2 HD.
