Media Broadcast to run MDR regional network

Media Broadcast has been assigned a contract to build and maintain the core of the MDR regional network. This system will connect the MDR television headquarters in Leipzig, the broadcasting headquarters in Halle, the regional studios in Dresden, Erfurt and Magdeburg as well as the music production site at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig via fibre data transfer lines. The launch of the project, which has been agreed to run for eight years, is scheduled for 01 September.
