Media Broadcast upgrades backbone

German broadcast and media provider Media Broadcast has put into operation a new backbone infrastructure for its network. The new network architecture, based on fibre and WDM technology, allows connections of up to 100 Gbps. Media Broadcast said its signal availability is 99.95 percent per year, meaning a maximum downtime of 4 hours over 12 months.
