Mediametrie releases first Twitter TV ratings

French market researcher Mediametrie has published its first Twitter TV ratings. The result of a partnership agreed with Twitter in April, the ratings measure Twitter engagement with TV programmes. The first report covers the Miss France broadcast. The report found that 640,800 people saw at least one tweet related to the broadcast that evening, and in total 50.2 million tweets were viewed from a computer, phone or tablet. A total 202,700 people sent tweets about the programme, averaging six tweets each or a total 1.28 million. The peak in tweets was shortly after the winner was announced.
