Mediametrie Twitter TV Ratings goes live in France

French audience measurement company Mediametrie has teamed up with Twitter to launch a social TV monitoring service. Mediametrie Twitter TV Ratings is the first tool in France that measures the number of Tweets sent in connection to a TV show and the number of times they are read. As Mediametrie's director of TV, Julien Rosanvallon, explained, what is important when a TV channel sends a Tweet to urge people to watch a programme, what counts is how many people will read the Tweet.
