MediaTek unveils new smartphone chip with AI capacities, latest Micron DRAM

MediaTek has unveiled its new Helio P90 system-on-chip (SoC) processing unit, with artificial intelligence and advanced camera features for smartphones. The chip will become available worldwide in the first quarter of next year. The unit features APU 20, a new AI architecture, and 1127 GMACs (2.25TOPs) performance, providing AI experiences that are four times more powerful than the Helio P70 and Helio P60, MediaTek said.
