Meerkat raises 'millions' despite spat with Twitter

Meerkat, the recently launched live video streaming app, reportedly raised USD 12 million in its latest funding round led by Greylock Partners, the Financial Times reported. No terms of the deal were disclosed but reports cited the figure, which values Meerkat at around USD 40 million. Meerkat allows users to broadcast a live video stream from their mobile phones; videos can only be watched live.
