Megacom lifts base station numbers to 1660 at end 2014

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Megacom raised the number of its base stations by 8 percent in 2014, reaching a total of 1,660 at the end of the year. The coverage and capacity of the network was raised in almost all 40 municipalities across the country. The network coverage currently totals 98 percent of the populated country's area, with around 3 million residents currently located under the coverage of the operator's 3.75G network. The operator said it has the highest network coverage among Kyrgyzstan mobile operators.
