Friday 12 July 2019 | 16:11 CET | News

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Megacom has upgraded its network in the coastal areas of the Issyk-Kul lake. With the upgrade of its 3G and GSM networks, the operator's services have become available in around 20 villages on both the northern and southern coasts of the lake. LTE base stations have become available in the villages of Bokonbayevo and Ananyevo.

Network capacity has also been raised in the towns of Karakol, Cholpon-Ata and Balykchy, as well as along roads and in beach areas.

Around 98 percent of the population in the Issyk-Kul region can now use Megacom's services.
