Megafon launches LTE network in Izhevsk

Russian mobile operator Megafon has launched an LTE network in the city of Izhevsk, reports Comnews.ru. The network works on the 1,800 MHz band, covers 80 percent of the city's area and sports speeds of 15-20 Mbs. The operator has chosen Izhevsk for the network launch because the monthly traffic is double there compared to the average across the country.
