Melita, Vodafone Malta, Go awarded spectrum in 800 MHz, 2.5 GHz bands

Maltese telecommunications authority MCA said it awarded Melita, Vodafone Malta and Go the right to use additional radio spectrum for wireless broadband services in the 800 MHz and 2.5 GHz spectrum bands. No financial details of the new licences were disclosed. Operators benefiting from this spectrum are obliged to roll out any new technologies nationwide, ensuring that consumers and businesses alike benefit from advanced LTE services across all of Malta and Gozo.
