MercadoLibre mobile purchases dearer than those from PC

Latin American e-commerce site MercadoLibre has announced that the average price of purchases made from mobile devices in Brazil is 32 percent higher than the average cost of purchases made via PC. Transactions via mobile apps represent 5 percent of MercadoLibre's total sales in Brazil, compared with 3.6 percent for the Brazilian e-commerce market as a whole. The website claims that 10 percent of its traffic in Brazil now comes from mobile platforms, compared with 6 percent at the end of 2012.
