Merlin signs licensing deal with Africa's Boomplay

Digital rights agency Merlin has signed a deal with Boomplay, an African music streaming and download service. Boomplay, which reportedly now has more than 62 million users, will have access to Merlin's entire independent music repertoire. Merlin's membership covers more than 20,000 record labels and distributors from over 60 countries, representing in excess of 12 percent of the digital music market.
