Messenger most popular in Germany for New Year wishes

Almost a quarter (22%) Germans intend to send their New Year's wishes via messenger this year compared to 9 percent three years ago, according to the latest survey by Bitkom. Around three-quarters (75%) of people asked said they give their new year greeting via phone call, while 38 percent sending texts, 30 percent sending emails, 19 percent sending message via social networks and 13 percent making video calls.
