Metroweb to bring FTTH to Turin in EUR 120 mln rollout

Wednesday 17 December 2014 | 10:03 CET | News
Milan-based broadband provider Metroweb has signed an agreement with Turin city council to bring fibre-optic broadband coverage to 70 percent of the city's population over the next three years. The rollout will begin in the spring and will initially connect 50,000 households, 30 schools and 20 local government offices. Under the terms of the agreement, Metroweb will also explore the possibility of deploying its fibre optic cables along the city's existing tram tracks.
