Mexican buyers spent average of MXN 12,800 online in 2018 - study

The average amount spent online by Mexican e-commerce buyers rose to MXN 12,800 (around USD 680) a person in 2018, according to a report from internet association AIMX. The total e-commerce market grew by 24 percent year on year to MXN 491 million in 2018, with smartphones used by 85 percent of users compared to 60 percent who purchased via their laptops and 20 percent who used Smart TVs.
