Mexican internet penetration increases to 60%

There were 65 million internet users in Mexico at the end of 2015, according to an annual study on the habits of internet users in Mexico, prepared by the Mexican Internet Association (Amipci). This means that 59.8 percent of the population has access to the internet, representing a 15.7 percent increase on the previous year when the penetration rate was 51 percent. Of the total internet users, 46 percent belong to the middle class. The study indicates that 47 percent of internet users complain that their connection is very slow and 31 percent because the costs are very high. On average,
