Mexican mobile data consumption rises to over 2.5GB a month in Q2

Wednesday 9 October 2019 | 12:05 CET | News
Total data consumption in Mexico averaged 2.54GB a month per user in the second quarter of 2019, double the 1.29GB per month posted a year earlier and up 11 percent compared to the first 3 months of the year, according to a report from the Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU). The rise is attributed to aggressive commercial offers including the first unlimited data packages for both prepaid and postpaid customers, as well as better network quality, with three-quarters of data now transferred over 4G networks.
