Mexican MVNOs account for 1.2% of market - IFT

Monday 9 April 2018 | 11:26 CET | News
Mexican MVNOs are still struggling to consolidate their position in the local mobile market, capturing just 1.2 percent of mobile lines in the country at the end of the third quarter of 2017, according to the latest data from communications watchdog IFT. The figures show that the 14 active MVNOs accounted for around 1.¬3 million active MVNO SIMs at the end of September 2017, compared to the country's total of 111.8 million. Virgin Mobile was by far the leading MVNO, with a 0.6 percent market share.
