Mexican operators lose court rulings

Mexican telecommunications companies Telmex, Grupo Carso, Megacable and SOS Telecomunicaciones have lost several battles in the courts, reports Cronica. Telmex did not manage to challenge several articles of the Telecommunications Law. Megacable did not succeed in stopping the MXN 33 million fine imposed by regulator IFT for monopolistic practices and collusion with Cablevision to divide the market and avoid competition between the two companies.
