Mexican regulator orders Telmex to issue clearer bills

Mexican telecoms regulator IFT has ordered fixed line operator Telmex to issue phone bills with far clearer and more detailed information on the precise services for which customers are being charged starting from April. In a statement the regulator confirmed that it had approved a new format for the services billed by America Movil subsidiaries Telmex and Telnor. Under the revised format, the companies will need to clearly differentiate the amount charged for services other than telecommunications and also allow users to be able to pay separately for communication and other services included
