Thursday 21 July 2016 | 14:54 CET | News
Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) said four consortia are competing to build and operate the long-delayed nationwide shared 4G network using 90 MHz on the 700 MHz band, Telesemana reported. A total of 21 companies had shown interest in the project when call for tenders was announced in January 2016 it cited the IFT as saying. Plans for the shared network were announced over two years ago but the final award date was again delayed this week and is now expected on 17 November.
